This article is based on the account of the recent gang rape in Delhi,the capital of India. The victim after fighting all odds succumbed to death on 29th Dec’12 in a hospital in Singapore.
This is not a rare case. Women are unsafe in almost all the states of India. Every now and then there are cases of women being molested and raped. It is heartening that this time people all over the country came forward to protest against us a brutal killing and rape . The men inhumanly tortured besides gratifying their sexual desires. Women are vehemently voicing protests side by side men. We all hope she will get justice and that her soul will rest in peace when the culprits receive deserved punishments. People are even demanding amendments of rules to make such victims receive rigorous punishment. If this voice carries on we hope Indian women will get safety and security, the lack of which makes them live in anxiety and fear all the time.
To make India more safe and especially providing protection to women we must all join hands to never let the voice of protest and humanity ever die. Damini is no more but her voice lingers, let’s make it louder. Not only Indians but I feel if we can take it to the International level we can make women more stronger and safer worldwide. Hope you all will pass the message on and I do hope the future rapists will vacillate to commit such an offence.
